Thank you very much for all of your feed back. It’s a great testimonial from Tripadvisor
Cong picked us up right on time from the Beautiful Saigon 3 Hotel and whisked us off to our 2 day Mekong biking trip. Cong was exceptional as a guide – we asked about rice growing as we passed fields, and he stopped and showed us the individual rice plants and explained how they are harvested. His English was good and he continually stopped to show us fruits – we picked the ramboutan off the trees – it became our new favorite fruit. The biking was easy and so experiential because of the children yelling “hello” all through the two days ! We loved the home stay because we got to cook and enjoy sleeping under a mosquito net – but we only heard one mosquito – I thought we would be inundated with them and not have enough deet ! Not so. This was one of the best parts of our Southeast Asia excursion !
Cycling in the Mekong delta, we did it and the guiding by Sinhbalo was excellent. They took care of everything: lodging, meals, cycling material,…. And it all was state of the art. We asked for a home stay, and had the opportunity to cook together with the landlady. Cycling brings you closer to the local people, and our guide Ngan is an expert in bringing people together. This 3 day tour was an exceptional experience. All cycling lovers should bike in the Mekong delta and do not hesitate, ask for Sinhbalo
We read all the reviews before we went and decided to go with Sinbalo tours with Ut as our guide and Vin as our driver. We had a great time travelling with our 16 year old son, met lots of locals saw lots of interesting things along the way. Ut is very knowlegeable and thoughtful adjusted ride lengths and stops to suit our needs and was very attentive while encouraging us to keep going.
Trek bikes were great, scenery fantastic – an opportunity to see people and places you would only see on a bike. Homestaty was a wonderful opportunity to see how people live. It is trip we will always remember with fondness. Dont be daunted if you are not very fit or a regular rider i did it so you can. A sore bottom is worth it in the end for the wonderful experience. Thank you Ut
We just completed our 4 day (3 night) trip with Sinhbalo and I loved every minute. The bikes were great (saddles quite hard – pain in the butt from day 1 so if you can bring a softer extra saddle cover go for it). Our 10 yr old daughter could do it to. Our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant – and even took us to his own home in the village where his family received us with fruits, tea and rice paper!
Most trails are good, esp day 2 morning and the last day. Sometimes there are stretches on bigger roads, the Mekong delta is a populated area and I guess that can not be avoided. We took loads of little boats, saw 4,567 dogs, chickens, shouted at least 2,350 times ‘helllooooo’ to the children and enjoyed fantastic fruits and local food.
We went for the basic option and our hotels were really good (1 basic on the lake, the others really fancy!)
All in all a trip worth doing, especially with children (from 10 yrs old) I think!
Cheers
We really enjoyed the 3 day cycling tour. The trip was a combination of cycling and boat rides on the mekong. We saw some lovely countryside and got to explore see people going about their daily life in small villages, lots of children calling out to us as we cycled past. The accommodation and food provided were excellent, although the meals were in tourist restaurants with set menus (good Vietnamese food and all tastes catered for). The guide tailored the amount of cycling to our group ability and the distances were considerably more than in the advertised itinerary – we thoroughly enjoyed the experience but the cycling was more of a challenge for some of our group than others and some of us were extremely sore/tired by the end of it.

We did a day trip with Sinhbalo, which included a pick up in a comfortable coach, a very knowledgeable guide, a driver, a 3 hour bicycle ride around the Delta area, a boat trip and a great lunch at a local homestay lodge. Everything was well organized and the day was seamless. Our bikes were quite new, light and as comfortable as could be. The bicycle ride included a few schedules stops for a bit of “culture” – candy making, rice paper making and another to sample a the local sugar cane and cumquat juice (delicious, BTW). After a 40 minute boat ride we were provided with a delicious local lunch of vegetable soup, fresh river fish, noodles, spring rolls and fried rice. All of it was fresh and totally delicious. I would highly recommend a Sinhbalo trip.

Testimonial from Tripadvisor
As a family of four we did a 4 day , 3 night cycling tour around the Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh to Chau Doc . It was the highlight of our trip so far largely thanks to our amazing guide Ut and lovely driver Kit, we saw so much that we wouldn’t have been able to any other way, and seeing the people getting ready for Tet was fantastic, although they all took time to shout hello and high five you along the way. The accomodation at the homestay in particular was excellent as was the food, and I have never slept so well. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.
We booked SinhBalo Adventure Travel from home having read the reviews on TA and our party of 4 adults opted for the 2 nights and 3 days cycling and boating around the Mekong Delta. From start to finish the whole trip was very well organised, professional and did exactly what it said on the tin. We were very pleased with the whole experience and trip.
We were picked up from our hotel with our driver and guide ( Hai ) who spoke excellent English and had a great sense of humour. We did a range of activities and the biking around the Delta was amazing and enabled us to visit places that we otherwise would have never seen. Hai was very informative and very patient with us as the opportunities for photos was endless and the many questions we asked of him. He was a pleasure to be with and added to our experience. The people along the way were amazing and shouted Hello and we were invited to local peoples home to watch them make baskets and cook rice paper etc etc. The school kids were friendly and wanted to practice their English. We did learn such a lot about life on the MD.
Mountain bikes were good with lots of gears for the many bridges. Seat was hard however. The cycling was really good fun and within anyones capabilities as its very flat and the guides are very patient.
Boat trips and visits to the floating markets also fabulous.
The hotel and homestay were also very good and the only criticism we all had was the mountain of wonderful food that we could not eat. We felt really guilty about that.
Overall a wonderful must do trip. Anyone can do this and the minibus backup was great and available if needed..
We did the Can Tho / hotel stay bike and boat tour with SinBalo, which was a highlight of our Vietnam Trip. Ut was a fantastic guide, a Mekong Delta local giving us a lot of information and answering our many questions. He and the van driver were good-natured, friendly, professional, and responsible.
Bicycling got us into areas a tourist would never see; I wanted a helmet camera on at all times, but I’m happy for the memories. Seeing island life and the Can Tho floating market were highlights.
All of the email arrangements, logistics, food, etc. were excellent – we didn’t have to think about a thing. It was a small group, and since others joined our family of 3, it was less expensive than we originally thought. You may pay a bit more with SinBalo, but you also get what you pay for.
I’m just sorry we didn’t have time to do a longer trip. I would highly recommend this company for any of their tours. BUT . . . the Mekong Delta was very special.
We did a 3 day orivate cycking tour with asinhbalo in the Meking Delta. Everything was great: the bikes were very good and well looked after, the driver in the support car was quite good, an waitedmfor us with cold water and nice wet towels at the end of each cycling segment. The guide looked after us in the bits of rozds which were busy without being over-protective.
We saw bit of the countryside impossible to view usi g other means of transport. The homestays used were very pkeasant, clean and with great food. We learnt a lot about the area, having plenty to see and also getting great informatio from thr guidr Ut, who was excellent. I would strongly recommend this tour, especially if you are reasonably fit and not too scared of traffic on someof the bits.
